Bio:
L. Ross is a six-year veteran Texas Peace Officer in the DFW Metroplex. Throughout her tenure in law enforcement, she has served in various roles. She was a founding member of her Department’s Crisis Intervention Team, where she currently serves as a certified Mental Health Officer on a co-responding team. In addition to her frontline work, she is an active member of her local Peer Support Team and Overwatch Peer Support, a regional initiative dedicated to officer well-being.
L. Ross is a certified TCOLE Instructor responsible for teaching Crisis Intervention in her local police academy. She also frequently assists with in-service training and regularly participates in training with the Hostage Negotiation Team. Additionally, Ross has developed and delivered various mental health and crisis intervention training programs, both within her department and for external organizations. Her presentations have reached diverse groups, including university police agencies, the local mental health authority, schools, and various other community organizations, furthering her commitment to enhancing mental health awareness and response across multiple sectors.
