Course Overview:
"Tactical Medicine for Patrol Officers" is an intensive, one-day training designed to equip officers with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively respond to medical emergencies within the patrol setting. Led by experienced tactical medical professionals/ law enforcement trainers, this course covers the fundamentals of emergency medical care for police officers. This course will prepare officers with the practical experience and knowledge of the major life-saving processes every Police Officer must know. Participants will engage in both classroom instruction and practical exercises to build a solid foundation for providing immediate care during critical incidents.

First Aid Essentials: Understand how to manage common injuries and medical conditions encountered in a patrol environment, such as bleeding, fractures, and airway issues.
Phases of Care- and what you need to know for each phase.
Emergency Medical Protocols: Blood loss control training will focus on preserving life through bleeding control measures.
Massive Hemorrhage- identifying, assessing, treatment, stabilization
Establishing Airways, and respirations
Identifying and treatment for head injures,
Identifying and treatment of Hypothermia
Evacuations, threat assessments, activity zones will be covered and other related topics.
Collaboration with Emergency Services: Learn effective communication and coordination strategies with EMS and other emergency responders.
Effective and necessary equipment will be detailed and discussed extensively.
This course will combine classroom instruction and hands on training.
Students will demonstrate proficiency with hands on evaluations and a written test.
